Launched on 1st August 2025, this global online platform brings together leading directors, writers, editors, cinematographers, and actors to mentor emerging filmmakers and help them prepare professionally guided pitches.

What is Cininfo Launchpad

  • Cininfo Launchpad is a curated platform designed by Cininfo for filmmakers to submit their film ideas or scripts to certain industry experts who would act as mentors to such filmmakers.
  • Selected creators get to pitch their projects to leading industry mentors.
  • Those chosen by mentors will undergo 5–6 weeks of intensive online mentoring and project development on such terms as may be specified by such mentors.
  • The goal: to get you pitch-ready for producers, OTT platforms, and financiers.
  • Collaborate with Cininfo Launchpad Mentors
  • Strengthen your storytelling, visuals, editing, and direction with expert guidance
  • Craft a pitch that speaks the industry’s language
  • Retain full creative control of your project
  • Get discovered by producers and platforms actively seeking new voices

Open to all creative professionals — filmmakers, directors, writers, cinematographers, editors, actors, and other storytellers with a compelling project.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A completed, registered script (feature, short, series, or concept-based)
  • A notional budget (even a basic cost estimate)
  • At least 2 years of active experience in the film, television, or digital content industry
  • A professional link to previous work (short film, web series, reel, etc).
  • Strong intent to pitch the project to producers, OTT platforms, or co-producers

Additional Details:
Geography: Open to applicants from India and abroad
Language: Projects in any language are welcome — however, all written submissions must be made in English
Team or Individual: Both teams and individuals can apply; co-writers are welcome

This opportunity is open to writers, directors, filmmakers, DOPs, editors, screenwriters, actors, and content creators committed to crafting powerful and original screen narratives.

Before You Apply
Please ensure you have the following ready:

  • A logline (under 30 words)
  • A short synopsis(100–150 words)
  • A long story synopsis / Pitch Deck (6–10 pages)
  • A writer’s statement / director’s approach note (100–150 words)
  • A link to past work (film, showreel, or relevant material)
  • A registered script ready to share with mentors and producers, if shortlisted for the mentor panel

Eligible Formats:

You can apply with projects in the following formats:

  • Feature-length films
  • Short films
  • Mini-series or web series (with 1–2 episode screenplays)
  • Reality TV concepts or formats

Application Process:

Step 1: Application Submission

  • Log in with your active Cininfo Membership.
  • Complete the application form with all required details and attach the necessary documents.

Note: Only subscribed members can apply.

Step 2: Submission Review

  • The Cininfo Selection Panel will evaluate applications based on originality, potential, and project readiness and its internal policies.

Step 3: Interview Invitation

  • Shortlisted applicants will be contacted via email or WhatsApp for an online interview, as part of the final selection for the Cininfo Launchpad Expert Panel Pitch.

If You’re Selected:

  • Pitch to the Cininfo Launchpad Mentor Panel
    Present your story or concept to the Cininfo Launchpad Expert Panel in a live online session.
  • Get Chosen by a Mentor
    If selected, you’ll be paired with your mentor(s) to begin the mentorship and collaboration phase.
  • 5–6 Weeks of Mentorship
    Work closely with your mentor(s) to develop your script and refine your pitch — all online and outcome-driven.
  • Final Pitch to Industry
    Once ready, your project will be presented to a select panel of producers, financiers, studios or OTT platform — giving you a real shot at production or co-development.

All selected applicants moving forward to pitch before the Expert Panel will be required to pay a participation fee as specified by Cininfo (Details of the fee are mentioned in the Terms & Conditions).

The application fee is a one-time, non-refundable fee, valid for one project only and shall not be returned under any circumstances, including but not limited to withdrawal, cancellation, or rejection of the application.

Meet our Esteemed Mentors :

Manas Mittal is a Mumbai-based freelance film editor with over a decade of experience in fiction and non-fiction feature films and series. A graduate of Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, he is also an alumnus of Berlinale Talents and the Asian Film Academy. His work has been showcased at major film festivals and released both theatrically and on platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime. He has collaborated with renowned filmmakers such as VishalBhardwaj, ImtiazAli, DibakarBanerjee, and Konkona Sen Sharma. He is currently working on the Netflix series OSaathiRe, produced by Window Seat Films.

Siddharth Diwan is an award-winning cinematographer and a graduate of the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, specialising in Motion Picture Photography. His debut feature, Peddlers, premiered at Cannes( Critic’s Week,2012 ), and he later contributed to The Lunchbox, also screened at Cannes. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Cinematography for Queen and is known for his visually striking work in Netflix Originals Bulbbul and Qala. Recognised for his innovative and versatile style, Siddharth brings depth and emotion to every story he helps tell.

Nikhil Mehrotra is a film writer & director with a filmography that includes Dangal, Chhichhore, Gunjan Saxena, Panga, Mr. & Mrs Mahi, to name a few. Nikhil Mehrotra has written the story, screenplay and dialogues for all of the above feature films.

While Dangal remains the highest-grossing Hindi film worldwide and swept multiple awards, including Filmfare, three of his films (Chhicchore, Bhoothnath Returns and Panga) have also won national awards.

Before his foray into film-writing and direction, Nikhil had an advertising experience of 14 years, where he was the creative head for several advertising agencies and had led over 50 brands. Some of his advertising work has been on brands KBC, McDonald’s, Cadbury, Tata Sky and so on. And in his career, Nikhil has picked up around 50 metals for both creative excellence and effective communication at Indian and International awards.
