Rohan Shankar is an Indian screenwriter known for writing popular Hindi films. A Physics graduate from Kalyan, Rohan initially aspired to become a radio jockey, but his passion for storytelling eventually led him to the world of cinema. Before establishing himself as a writer, he gained hands-on experience working across multiple departments in filmmaking, including direction, production, and editing.
His filmography includes Luka Chuppi (2019), Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari (2020), Helmet (2021), Mimi (2021), and Saiyaara. He began his writing career with the Marathi film Lalbaugchi Rani (2016). Over the years, Rohan has collaborated with several prominent filmmakers in the industry, bringing a distinct voice that balances entertainment with heartfelt storytelling.

His upcoming projects include Bhooth Bangla and Haiwaan, both directed by Priyadarshan. He has also written Mohit Suri’s next film with Yash Raj Films following Saiyaara, and is currently writing a fantasy romantic comedy for Maddock Films.
