I am an Indian filmmaker, journalist, and storyteller and choose to work on narratives that delve into pressing social issues. My career encompasses journalism, publishing and documentary film production and direction. I’ve also served as a faculty member at St. Xavier’s College and Xavier Institute of Communication, Mumbai and as Vice-Chairperson of the Children’s Film Society of India.

As the co-director and head of field research for the acclaimed television show Satyamev Jayate, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, I was privileged to play a pivotal role in bringing critical societal topics to the forefront. My investigative work on female foeticide helped lay the foundation for the show.

In 2019, I directed the feature-length documentary Rubaru Roshni (Where the Light Comes In), produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. This anthology film explores the transformative power of forgiveness through three real-life stories, earning widespread acclaim for its sensitive storytelling and emotional depth.

Beyond my directorial ventures, I have contributed as a lyricist, crafting songs on subjects ranging from sexual abuse to mental health.

Currently, I am co-producing and directing a documentary series titled Love, Sex and Internet about the impact of the digital space on sexuality, a feature documentary focusing on mental health and body image issues and a short film about the 25 year long journey of a public hospital based crisis centre in India, designed to support women facing domestic and sexual violence.
