My name is Shreyas Shah. I am a 29 year old theatre and screen actor living and working in Mumbai. I stand 6 feet tall and have a lean muscular frame. Having worked in 2 feature films (Stuff of Dreams with Cannes award winning director Stefano Savona and Judgemental Hai kya alongside Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Rao), web content with Kusha Kapila, Tv with Baba Azmi ji and a host of short films and a fair amount of riyaaz in front of it, I am finding my expression on camera now more and more.

Took me a while, as I originally come from theatre and theatre training which honestly functions quite differently. Having trained under Barry John, Saurabh Sachdeva, Om Katare ji, Pt Satyadev Dubey amongst others, core of my actor energies and development come from years spent at rehearsals and shows at Prithvi theatre and NCPA among others across the country, where you would dig and dig for days at end, till something works and then the lines no longer felt like acting and more like yourself. In fact so much so that real life pales in comparison.

I aim to pursue and practise my craft in sync now with the movie, web and tv industry practises – specifically the way they work in terms of the timelines and rythms of auditioning, shooting etc so I can find my way to achieve when on screen that sense of not acting like I have painstakingly found on stage from time to time.

I beleive I have the versatility and experience to pull off diverse parts and am looking merely for the opportunity to screen test or audition for good roles that matter in the narrative.
