Hi, I’m Roopal.
An Electronics Engineer by qualification, a Software Engineer by profession, and a published Author, Poet, and Storyteller and filmmaker (scriptwriter, editor, director) by passion. My preferred writing genres include satire, sarcasm, drama, romantic comedy, and slice of life.
Brief Bio:
Roopal Nema hails from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. She holds a degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and has worked for over 15 years in leading corporate firms in Pune as a software engineer.
A writer at heart since childhood, Roopal has pursued formal training in screenwriting and storytelling from Actor Prepares, Mumbai, and completed various online workshops on scriptwriting and character development for OTT platforms conducted by FTII, Pune. She has also explored the art of filmmaking through Vikshi Institute of Media Studies and the Art House Academy, an initiative by FTII. (Certificates attached.)
Her debut novel, Is Jahaan Se Us Jahaan Tak, was published in March 2025. (Link attached under work link.)
As a writer, she finds joy in crafting poetry and regularly performs recitations with various literary and performance groups. Her mission is to tell stories that are motivational, thought-provoking, and boldly question social taboos.
