Manasi Rachh is an actress born and brought up in Mumbai. Her father is a violinist and her mother works for an NGO. As a child she has inclination towards the arts and studied Bharat Natyam while growing up.

started her acting career in theatre. She made her debut in a musical play called ‘Aisa Kehte Hain’ by the Mumbai theatre group Aranya. Later she performed in their next production called ‘Bali aur Shambhu’.

She went on to work in several plays including ‘The Pillowman’ by the theatre group Le Chayim and ‘Raju, Raja, Ram aur Main’ directed by acclaimed Marathi director Kedar Shinde.

Her performance as ‘Amal’ in the play ‘Walking to the Sun’ got her recognition and appreciation from the audience, media and critics. Directed by theater stalwart Sunil Shanbag, the play is an adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore’s short story, ‘Dakghar’.

She was spotted by Yash Raj films and bagged a role in their film, ‘Mujhse Fraandship Karoge’. Later she worked with Dharma Films in the film, ‘Student of The Year’. She played the role of Shruti Pathak, a girl whose aggressive nature pushes her to put her friendships on the line to win the school competition. With these performances Manasi rose to fame and was next seen in ‘Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein’, a heist film starring Naseeruddin Shah.

She then acted in the acclaimed TV series ‘24’, directed by award winning director Abhinay Deo. Her character ‘Maddy’ the genius hacker, enthralled the audience.

Manasi has also done several web shows like ‘It’s Not That Simple’ where she played the complex character of Natsha Ramchandran, a corporate executive who comes to terms with her sexual identity after dating a female entrepreneur. In the web series ‘Truth or Tamanna’ on Voot she played the role of Jacky, an assistant director who tries to find out the truth of her missing friend. She acted in the limited series ‘Six’ on Disney +Hotstar where she played the character Monisha Mathur, a secretary who is being investigated for murder.

Manasi has also acted in several other web shows like Cheers and Dolly Ki Shaadi. In the web series  ‘Hindmata’ for Eros Now she played the character of Sudha,a rebellious prison inmate who fights for the rights of the undertrial prisoners and in the webseries ‘Rangbaaz’ on zee5, she played the role of  ‘Nikita’, a righteous JNU student. In 2023, she played the character of ‘Neha Gupta’, a TV journalist in Hansal Mehta’s ‘Scoop’ on Netflix.

Manasi hosted the show ‘Martial Arts of India’ for Epic channel. She traveled across the country covering some of the most prolific martial art forms from various cultures.

Manasi’s love for acting has got her to explore all mediums, including several short films. Some of them being, ‘A Storm in a Teacup’, ‘Moh Maya Machine’ and ‘My Sun Sets to Rise Again’ which is available on Shorts.tv.

She is also seen regularly in several television commercials. She has endorsed a number of brands including LinkedIn, Tatacliq, Maruti Suzuki, DBS bank and Kellogg’s.

Coming from a Gujarati background, Manasi made her debut as a director in the web series ‘Tu Ane Hun’ which she also wrote and acted in. This bagged her the role of ‘Ray’ in the Gujarati web show, ‘Millennial Zindagi’ by Cityshor.

Her first Gujarati feature film was ‘Vickida No Varghodo’, where she played the character of ‘Vidya’, a sprightly college student who no one dares to mess with. Her portrayal of Vidya was loved by the audience and received rave reviews. This got her the prestigious Transmedia Gujarati Film award in the category of debut actor (female).

Her second Gujarati film ‘Welcome Purnima’ saw her play one of her most challenging roles where she plays ‘Katha’ a girl who has an affinity to the supernatural world, which eventually gets her possessed by a wandering spirit.
