| Bio | I’m an engineer who somehow slipped through the cracks and became a filmmaker. Growing up in Allahabad, I was surrounded by chaos, stillness, poetry, and politics, so storytelling always felt inevitable. Engineering gave me structure, but cinema gave me something deeper, which was catharsis. When I watched La La Land, even though that world was completely unknown to me, I felt as if its characters lived inside me. That power of film to make the unfamiliar feel personal is what drives me to keep chasing stories as a filmmaker. My latest short film, Pintu, which explores a young boy’s struggle between dreams and harsh realities, was acquired by Pocket Films and has crossed 300K views on YouTube. It was officially selected at several festivals, including the Jagran Film Festival, Tokyo Liftoff Film Festival, Waves International Short Film Festival, New Delhi Film Festival, and was nominated for Short Film of the Year on the Shorted platform.
