Hitesh Agarwal, a filmmaker from Raipur, honed his craft at Christ University, Bangalore, spending four transformative years immersed in theatre, particularly street theatre, which shaped his artistic voice. He wrote and directed four plays exploring human emotions, culture, and societal nuances, performing at venues like IIT Chennai, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Bangalore, captivating audiences nationwide.
Transitioning to cinema, Hitesh assisted filmmakers such as Vishal Bharadwaj, Dibakar Banerjee, Konkona Sen, Shazia Iqbal, Amar Kaushik, Rahi Anil Barve, Ravi Udyawar, Vikrant Pawar, and Atul Sabharwal. His directorial debut, The Journey (Short Film, 2020), screened and won awards at prestigious film festivals. He remains active on set, frequently directing AD films.
Currently, he is developing Amol along with three other films and web shows, continuing his mission to tell powerful, socially resonant stories that spotlight overlooked injustices and connect deeply with audiences.
