Arshaly Jose is a writer and filmmaker from Kerala. She was one of the five finalists in Netflix’s TakeTen2 initiative, who funded her directorial debut. Her short film Gullu won Best Director and Best Film at the Creative Minds of Tomorrow by the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
Her script was selected for development in the Writer’s INK screenwriting lab by the INK Foundation. She has written a short film Memories of a Kiss that premiered at NYIFF 2025. Alongside her work in film, she has published stories and articles in Muse India, Out of Print, and Film Companion. She is passionate about exploring the intersection of gender, politics, and culture in India through her stories.
