Anubhav Sinha is an acclaimed Indian filmmaker known for films that engage with social themes and contemporary realities.
His work includes critically recognised titles such as Article 15, Thappad, and his latest courtroom drama Assi (2026) starring Taapsee Pannu.
Born in Allahabad in 1965, Sinha began his professional path in engineering before moving into television and MTV, eventually making his directorial debut with the romantic hit Tum Bin (2001).
Through his production banner Benaras Media Works, he continues to back stories that explore caste, gender, and justice, gaining both audience recognition and strong festival attention.
