Bio: Tanaji Dasgupta is a Mumbai-based producer and writer, and the co-founder and creative producer at Kindling Pictures, a production house founded by Kiran Rao.
He co-produced Laapataa Ladies, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (2023) and became one of India’s most beloved films โ€” running in theatres for over 15 weeks and becoming one of the most-watched Indian films on Netflix.
Tanaji’s filmography includes The Hungry (TIFF 2017), Cat Sticks (Slamdance 2019), and The Disciple (Venice 2020), executive produced by Alfonso Cuarรณn. An alumnus of Berlinale Talents, his work consistently champions bold storytelling and collaborations that challenge cinematic conventions.
