From finding an idea with the potential to sustain a long-form narrative to creating story-rich worlds, evolving characters, and strong episode and season arcs, the session will explore how creators shape a series from its first idea to a distinctive storytelling identity.

Speaker: Anusha Nandakumar

Designation: Creator, Writer and Directors of Raakh

Anusha Nandakumar is a Mumbai-based writer, director and producer, and a graduate of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. A National Film Award winner, she has worked across films, series and digital content. She is the Co-Creator, Co-Writer and Co-Director of Prime Video’s Raakh, and has written Singham Again and Indian Police Force. She is also a founder and producer at Gulbadan Talkies, behind popular Marathi digital platforms including BhaDiPa. Anusha has co-authored The War That Made R&AW, which has gone into multiple reprints.

Sandeep Saket is a Mumbai-based writer and director known for crafting compelling, real-life-inspired narratives. A graduate of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, he has written and directed across films and series, including Saat Ucchakke, Kaala Paani, Indian Police Force and Singham Again. He is the Creator, Writer and Co-Director of the acclaimed Prime Video series Raakh. Sandeep has also co-authored The War That Made R&AW, a critically acclaimed book on the origins of India’s intelligence agency and the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.
