Speaker: Sejal Shah

Designation: Director, Producer, and Co-founder

Sejal Shah is a director, producer, and co-founder of Bombay Fables. Her directorial debut ‘Costao’, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, was a raw, atmospheric film that struck a nerve with critics and audiences alike.

As a producer her slate includes Serious Men (Netflix), which earned an International Emmy nomination; the globally watched Asur 2 (JioCinema); the darkly funny Decoupled (Netflix); Delhi Crime Season 2 (Netflix); the critically lauded Costao (ZEE5); and the highly acclaimed ‘Saare Jahaan Se Accha ‘on Netflix.

After years of reporting for The Week and The Sunday Times (London), Sejal transitioned into storytelling through cinema. She’s the recipient of the British Chevening Award for Outstanding Young Indian Journalist and the Award of Excellence, and her early documentary work earned international acclaim.
